Bad Skin

I've dealt with bad skin my entire life. Even as an adult, my skin isn't where I'd like it to look. The only time it'd look good is during the weekend. Go figure.

Elementary school through middle school, I had to deal with the dreaded freckles. In high school, on top of freckles, I had to put up with every adolescent nightmare - hormonal ACNE!!! In college, the hormones settled in BUT I still broke out from stress.

This morning??? Dull, uneven tone, and blotchy skin. WTF?!

I don't expose myself to harmful chemicals 24/7, I drink 90 oz of water daily, I work out, I eat right. What's going on?! I might as well start praying to the skin gods for a miracle.

I hate wearing makeup when I don't want to.

juvenescence

I’m over at the Franklyn Public Library, which is sandwiched between a middle school and high school, doing some light research on Sacramento’s history for personal reasons (boredom and curiosity, I suppose). What made me think that lunchtime is the best time to drop by?

These teenage students are so awkward, obnoxious, and damn rackety with no manners for their elders (i.e. the Golden Girls librarian club).

WTF?!

Thank goodness for the great seating section for 18+ in the middle of the library. Although, it’s still too loud but that isn’t what’s bothering me. It’s the swarm of teenage girls chasing one another and teenage boys punching one another at a nearby table. I’m currently listening to a phone conversation in the corner of the library where a girl is whispering on her phone while a worried friend is caressing her hand. She’s making an appointment at Planned Parenthood. Classic.

I feel so old and perverted for being here.

Oh Laundry, how I loath you so.

I haven't done laundry in over a month. Alright. That sounds pretty disgusting. So what are the excuses for those that don't know me?

The list of very important information:

1. I have a lot, a lot, a lot of clothes.
Being the same size for the past 10 years has really helped my growing clothing collection. I seriously re-wear everything I've had since middle school, high school and college. I also like to think that it's still fashionable, even if it's not. =(
2. This stack of laundry is actually at my parent's house.
I pretty much stay in between homes meaning that most of my laundry at the other place gets done by my boyfriend, who just loves laundry and vacuuming. pendajo. And yes, there's a lot of my clothes over there as well. Also, when I'm staying at my parent's place, I'm too busy smoozing and socializing (i.e. spending quality time) with my family that I don't have time to do so.  =/
3. I'm not a big fan of wasting electricity/water.
Being the eco-friendly-money-saving individual that I am, I just don't find it necessary to wash my clothes often if I can wear something else that's clean. This shows that I save a lot of money on the electricity bills, not like I pay it, but there are savings on the monthly bills! The boyfriend's place, not so much. He loves doing laundry and wasting water. We're total opposites. -__-;
4. I'm a busy, busy, busy person.
Seriously. I'm really busy. You should see the list of things I do in a week. I do a lot of work, intern, volunteer, run/jog, exercise (yes, this is different from running/jogging), appointments, events, errands, etc. In order to keep myself organized and get things done, I have to sit down every Sunday evening to plan out how the schedule will look like for the upcoming week, then I have to add appointments to the calendar on my phone so I won't forget. Seriously. I'm pretty f*cken busy to be dealing with laundry on a daily basis which is why I need to pen it in my monthly schedule in order for it to be done.

The photo? That's not even all of it. Don't judge me for my dirty laundry.
